Childhood Immunisation

The Childhood Immunisation Team provides coordination and support to ensure the delivery of an effective immunisation programme, other than that which occurs in front line immunisation centres.

What does the team do?

  • Identification of areas of low uptake and the design of interventions to address these (in collaboration with Public Health)
  • Management of the neonatal hepatitis B and BCG vaccination programmes
  • Provision  of a three borough (LSL) helpline giving expert clinical advice service to healthcare professionals
  • Management of training for all staff required to undertake immunisation (foundation, refresher, update and targeted)
